Leith Agency commissioned Munky to create a 30 second spot for Coors Light Beer.
Leith creatives Chris Scott (art)and David Grenfell (copy) conjured up a script for Coors that would form the basis of this summers campaign for The Worlds Most Refreshing Beer (TM).
Munky had six weeks to deliver from script through previz, R&D and composite an HD cinema 30 and TVC 30. Viv Jaspers at The Gate in Edinburgh produced the spot and brought in director Dave Mills to oversee proceedings.
The live action was shot using the Red camera attached to a motion control rig with a boroscope lens to get in and amongst the beer bottles and pints. Gavin Lester and Duncan Burch in CG took over the hero bottle as the camera approached it and created the remaining footage until the end frame, no mean feat R&Ding mist, ice and avalanches in such a short space of time!
Mark Robinson at Munky led the the flame online until his firstborn turned up ahead of schedule on Monday 6th July (Welcome to the world Leo!) upon which grand news Gary took on the mantle of the final composite.
Back end fun too…. loads of giant digital outdoor screens in all manor of aspect ratios and formats. Just delivered to Piccadilly Circus, Birmingham Paradise Forum, Liverpool Media Wall, Transvision, Manchester and Glasgow City screens, Manchester City Gateway, London Underground Digital Escalator Panels and LCDs.
Oh yeah… anyone mention the Dean Street fire??? hehehehe. Check out this Sky News video… we were next door when this happened. We were incredibly lucky not to have any of our hardware damaged. We managed to get it out a few days later, plug in round the corner and finish the ad to the original deadline. Holy Crap.
