Adapted from the hugely successful theatre run in which Anthony Sher recounts Primo Levi’s journey by cattle truck to Auschwitz, his initial harrowing days in the infamous death camp and continues through the first desperate winter, the forging of friendships, the routine of daily life and the regular and barbaric process of ‘selections’ that determined who would live and who would die. Munky was asked to do a few invisible changes to the set in the opening sequence. This was some of the most challenging work Gary has had to do given that he had to rotoscope the actor on two, minute long shots, working on 2k 10bit scans. The work took 2 weeks to accomplish and was hugely rewarding to get to the end with a happy client!
