Monarch of the Glen

Munky client Men From Mars asked us to help out with a couple of shots of a Loch Ness monster in order to help meet a tight deadline.

The director Ed Bennett wanted the shots of nessie to have an enigmatic, magical feel about them. In the storyline, the creature brings good fortune and generally looks out for people, a kind of guardian.

Munky CG artists modelled and animated a classic plesiosaur creature to drop into 2 shots. We actually completed 5 shots across 2 sequences. Munky used elements shot on set to create water disturbance and water dropping from the creature as it emerges from the deep.
