In the story Deaton plays Harry Holland, a divorce lawyer who experiences a personality change after he has a heart transplant. The trouble starts when he falls in love with the donor’s widow.

Munky was asked to design an aurora borealis to be included in an emotive dusk exterior scene on the edge of a loch. Owing to the logistics of final grade, conform and delivery it meant that Munky VFX were delivered faite-a-complis over FTP directly into the final edit master session. We sent over a few variations on colour to provide some choice. Fortunately Jeremy Gwilt (producer) and Nick Laughland (director) were extremely pleased with the results.

Although there are aurora effects that you can buy off the shelf, Gary felt it was possible to create something a lot nicer looking by having control of all parameters… colour, speed, whispyness etc. We also created the dusk sky background and animated some subltely twinkling stars.
